Facepaints - Best product SNAZAROO

Just to note on face painting product,
          LINK: http://www.snazaroo.us/products.htm

Snazaroo is hypoallergenic and water soluble (don't even need soap!) .
The smaller rainbow wheel of colors is $16.00 each and claims to paint 50 full faces.

If we are going to purchase face paints
- this is the one I suggest. It is the only
facepaint that we used at the party entertainment company I worked for and has mixing abilities :D

Pricing
In the past when we have done charging at events:
Full face paints could go for about $5.00 - $7.00
Half face / Smaller Designs - $2.00 - $4.00

Practice / sharpen skills ? :
Perhaps a potluck or short evening period where we can all paint each others face to practice
and experiment. We could always do it for about an hour and a half or so one morning so that
we are "sporting" the PQ, our fundraiser, and INFLATED EGO in some way all day.

I can also teach a short session on balloon animal making which supports our inflated theme, and colors.
I believe MARDI GRAS hats would be a great idea - but they would need to be made pre-event because they
take a little bit of time to make, and with a crowd/line it can be a crazy experience if you're not making em
as fast as they want em. They would need to be made the day before or earlier that day.

In the Past - Print out photographs of options:
I've really only done this with children, and my imagination works quick with them when
it comes to guessing what they want. Young adult (drunk) art students may be different.
It may be wise to have an options board/menu/list as well as keeping the possibility for
creative improv with paint and a face. A lot of the time the shape of someone's face can
inspire a certain style/idea.

INFLATED Meeting: March 2

1.)  Inflated Ego Rehearsal:   SAT. 3/19 -- 10AM-2pm
    -  (two weekends from now)
    -  This is separate from the Wed production meeting
    -  Bring whatever ideas you have, what you are working on, something you want read/seen/experiment with/make
    - This is where/when we will start creating the piece!
    -  If you need technical things and can't access them, contact someone you think might be able to help you and figure out how to get those supplies to rehearsal
    -  I will reserve a space on space board

2.)  KICKSTARTER -->  End Goal Date is MAY 15th.  Jamie is setting up the account, but we NEED SOMEONE to take on creating a fun awesome video and phrasing to make people want to give us meeting.

We are estimating that everyone can raise $300 from their ppl.  Can you raise this amount? We will then assume that everyone can contribute $500 to their own travel (or raise through other means) and use this sum to create our KICKSTARTER GOAL!

3.)  MARDI GRAS (March 25th)--a.k.a CalArts Spring Halloween Party:  Jamie is asking Student Council if we can sell food/excitement (inflatable head pieces??) to raise funds for Prague!  Can everyone be available to help fund raise that day???

4.)  HELIUM:  Drew is going to research helium sources.  Balloon popping as noise effect also discussed.

5.)  BUDGET:  We will currently work off of the idea that we have $320 left for production/fundraisers/etc.  Kickstarter will go towards travel & housing.

6.) EXECUTIVE MEETING:  Masha and I will send update on THUR about what the deal is for next Mon.

7.)  NEXT WEEK MEETING:  Same bat time, same bat place:  WED 3/9:  12-1pm TATUM

8.) REMINDER:  Please fill in your schedule on the Doodle Matrix Alex sent out.  Check dates you are AVAILABLE.  No need to sign up for account, just put your name in and start clicking time slots!  It will take you 10min max.

Here's the link again for all y'all slow pokes:  http://www.doodle.com/4zmnqabtbifv6wv3

See you guys next week!

PQ -- Funding + Schedule Update

Here's an update from yesterday's meeting.  Please look at the WHAT IS NEEDED FROM EVERYONE section at bottom.  Thanks!

After the meeting Zoe, Alice, and I met with Leslie yesterday to see how we could get 15min at one of the next Executive Committee Meetings.  The Committee meets every Mon 4-6pm.

Leslie recommended that Masha and I follow up with Travis via email since we had that in person conversation with him, cc-ing her, Gary, Zoe, Alice, maybe Chris Barreca and ask him directly if we can have a time to present at the Exec Committee Mtg.

We hope to use that 15 min. to present where the two PQ projects (Inflated Ego!, Landscape) and non-project PQ goers are at the moment and ask how we can organize ourselves to present our funding needs to the Institute.

There is a possibility that we will not receive very much funding from CalArts.  Some of you have sent numbers of what you can contribute to your trip...just, a heads up.  If you personally need to stick to that number, there may be a possibility that you will have to personally fundraise to make up the difference.  I know this is totally sucky, but Leslie basically told us that this is the case.

Given this...

INFLATED EGO:  I want to suggest that it might be more productive to assume that our materials budget is $500 and that $170 of it is already spent.  It is a 30min outdoor piece and we will not have electrical supply--I think is more important for ppl to be able to be there rather than have an elaborate piece.  If we can get free material, that is still a great option.  Dumpster diving, recyclables?  What do you guys think about this?

EXECUTIVE MEETING REPRESENTATIVES
ALICE: non-project voice
ZOE: Landscape
MASHA or PEIYI: Inflated Ego!

WHAT WE NEED DO BEFORE THEN
- Consolidate housing/flight budgets into a single document (broken up into 3 distinct sections but with 1 total)
- Finish Kickstarter set-up, project end-goal date, and fundraising goal$$ (this should include what everyone can personally donate)
- Create internal deadlines for when we have to:
            a.  Purchase Plane Tiks
            b.  Book housing
            c.  Individually decide by WHAT DATE we will decide to not go to Prague if a certain amount of funding is not met
- Finish Budget showing EXPENSES vs. PROJECTED REVENUE

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM EVERYONE
MASHA: Creating the final Inflated Ego! budget, sending to PEIYI
MASHA:  Emailing Travis once consolidated budget is completed
ZOE:  Researching Housing Booking Deadline (we will try to go in together) + send Landscape budget
INFLATED (VOLUNTEER?): Researching Airplane price peak (what time do we HAVE to buy by before they get crazy expensive)
PEIYI:  Creating final consolidated budget
INFLATED:  Send me, honestly, honestly, honestly, what you can contribute to your own plane ticket & lodging.  If  We need these numbers from everyone ASAP.  We will send you the whole Budget so you have an idea of what seems reasonable.
INFLATED:  ALEX will be sending out a schedule matrix -- please respond with your available times for the coming FRI EVE, SAT, SUNs through the time of New Works
ALICE:  Non-project PQers list of names
ALEX:  Creating rehearsal schedule planning matrix for Inflated Ego!

TO DISCUSS NEXT MEETING
Funding Schedule & Goals ($$ goal and dates -- we need to know this for Kickstarter)
Production/Rehearsal Schedule (hopefully everyone will have sent in their dates to ALEX by then)

Thanks everyone!  Great work.  We'll let you know the status for MONDAY EXEC MEETING.

NOTE: If we get that time slot for this coming MONDAY we may need to MEET THIS WEEKEND to decide our Kickstarter goals, b/c that needs to be included in our presentation to the committee.
